Ashram: guest house and temple

A simple daily routine is followed in the ashram. It helps us to come to ourselves and renew our contact with God. It contributes to unity and peace within and between people. People with different backgrounds and beliefs are most welcome.

The daily program is as follows:

Friday and Saturday

  • 6.00 a.m. : Meditation-fire or Silent Havan (Vedic fireceremony for peace and harmony)
    7.00 a.m.: Aarti (Light-ceremony and singing of mantra’s)
    After Aarti:  Breakfast Karma Yoga (yoga of work, ashram work)
    13.00: Warm lunch. 
    After the lunch:  pause / rest / walk
    16.00 – 18.00 : Karma Yoga
    19.00: Aarti 
    Then  a simple evening meal.
    22.00 Silence, rest..

Sunday and Monday

  • 6.30 a.m. : Havan (Vedic fireceremony for peace and harmony)
    8.00 a.m.: Aarti
    After Aarti:  Breakfast Karma Yoga (yoga of work, ashram work)
    13.00: Warm lunch. 
    After the lunch:  pause / rest / walk
    16.00 – 18.00 : Karma Yoga
    19.00: Aarti 
    Then  a simple evening meal.
    22.00 Silence, rest.

From Tuesday to Thursday

  • 7.00 a.m.: Aarti (Light-ceremony and singing of mantra’s)
    8.00 a.m.: Breakfast
    9.00 a.m.: Karma Yoga
    13.00: Warm lunch 
    After the lunch: pause / rest / walk
    16.00 – 18.00: Karma Yoga
    19.00:  Aarti
    Then  a simple evening meal.
    22.00: Silence, rest.

In the early morning and late afternoon you have the opportunity for japa, meditation or yoga exercises (before Aarti).
